Iran short wins award in Italy

Iranian short film ‘It Rains Slowly’ has won an award at the Religion Today Film Festival in Italy.

Directed by Saeed Nejati, the film won the special jury award at the 2018 edition of the event.

‘It Rains Slowly’ tells the story of some school students in the 1980s who intended to help their teacher.

The short film is the first joint product of the Qom Youth Cinema Society and the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality from Turkey.

Since 1997 Religion Today has been the foremost international and itinerant film festival dedicated to Cinema and Religions for a culture of peace and dialogue between faiths, cultures, peoples and individuals.

This year's edition of the festival was held on October 4-11, 2018 in Trento, Italy.
